Jessica Marie Martin-Cate has been drawing her entire life and shooting photos nearly as long. She received her bachelors degree from the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago and a masters in visual journalism from Roosevelt University.

While in Chicago, she shot Lollapalooza as a photographer for Knight Ridder Tribune Campus in 2005, where she took photos of Billy Idol, Weezer, Cake and more. Also, while she was art director for Chicago Athlete Magazine, she covered the Chicago Marathon as a photographer. She has worked as a freelance designer and photographer for more than seven years, specializing in music acts, but has recently branched out to take business promotional images and engagement, anniversary, senior and family portraits.
